    Jeff, nothing that he could afford so he bought the 226. Nice shape w/ 18 hp onan and a blower. Alas, he crossed to the dark side......... He did look at a nice 149 tho and he's already saying he might want another tractor in the future so he doesn't have to keep switching attachments so there...

    well my son just bought a house and he wanted a tractor for lawn/driveway. he couldn't find a cc worth buying so he bought a case/ingersol 226 with a 48 in deck and a blower. now i hafta get another set of manuals and learn about the red tractors......

    Bill J I have a 109 and I had the end cap split away from the stock muffler. i took it off, wire wheeled it and brazed the end cap back on. Been good for about 8 years and no problems.

    Hi Bill, the only safety on a 109 is the clutch/brake. it has to be depressed when starting. i don't believe hydraulic lift was an option.

    Bjohnson, that happened to me with my 109 when I took it to put away for the winter a while back. That SOB was heavy to get back on the trailer!! Took me about an hour to get it off the trailer....then I medicated with a few Labbatts................
