    looks like IH was good about getting their name on every part back in the day. this is 1 of 7 original spindle bolts i managed to get out of my "new" 42 inch deck. just thought i'd share...i'll be replacing all but i'll hold on to these...

    yer right harry, one hole is oversize and the bolt pulled out but i'll take car of that. looks like i'll be placing an order to ccs shortly. on the id number, is that only a part number or can any body tell me what year this might be so i can get the right bearings or are they all the same?

    ok...i pulled the trigger on a deck. 42 inch..solid no holes, 3 tight spindles, needs new guards but i have those....idler pulley(got that too...), belts...blast and paint should be good to go.... buck sixty in wny....another 42 2 hrs away was 190 so....lemme have it guys....

    harry, this is my original(1973) deck on my 109...you can see why i'm looking for a replacement...but notice no grease fitting on idler bushing bolt. was that a late modification? btw...still looking and getting this stripped and ready to do some welding. thanks for the advice from the forum...

    just a quick "looking for opinion" here. got a 109 with a 38 inch deck that needs some major patch work. saw this locally, $160, seller says it could use blast/paint but that's not an issue, also says all spindles are tight and extra blades. figure i'll offer 150. just want some opinions on it...

    scott, on your hydraulic cylinder question, just check yellow pages for a hydraulic supply/repair shop in greenfield and have them look at it, unless you want to really keep it ih stock and do it yourself. my $.02

    Rodney, you just drill/tap the size required, thread insert in and tap down locking tangs. as i said, they make an installation tool that sets depth, then flip over and use to set tabs but a pin punch works fine, you can use locktite but not required

    Hi Gerry, i'll give you everything i used. for the drill, use letter "X" drill, .397 dia. put slight countersink before tapping. then 7/16-14 tap, followed with 7/16-14 bottoming tap for blind hole. thread inserts in until slightly below flush, there is an installation tool that does cal'd...
