A handful of copper and disappointment.......

Yep those wiring harnesses were bad. I nearly burned up my 147 while mowing way back when.

122 Cub Cadet Creeper or Transmission Damage?

I had the pin in the shift yoke come out on mine once. Creeper was between gears and tractor wouldn't move. Also happened while plowing snow. Lucky I was close to the garage and could push it back in to work on.

    3point hitch issues

    Internal leak in cylinder?

    Another day in the Jeep.....

It takes a different bracket on the A frame for the lift rod. Unless you don't mind having the rod rub on the side of the grill casting. I went down this road before when I went from 147 to 128 for snow blade work.

Where did the link to all the actual manuals go???

My Cub Cadet service manual has an engine section that covers most of anything I need to do to service the engine. That being said I also bought the Kohler K series service manual. It covers everything from tuneup to rebuild. All the specs and how to's you could ask for.

    No Spark

Do you have 12 volts at the plus side of coil?
  7. K

    Two more headache

That 129 must be a 149 as it has hydraulic lift.

My first Cub Cadet is home!

To use a tiller you have a bit of work to do. In your photo of the engine front it's missing the PTO clutch and the drive basket on the starter pulley.

582 DEAD. Cannot get starter to turn.

Power goes from key thru brake safety to power starter solenoid. Get a cheap test light and follow the power on down the line.

582 DEAD. Cannot get starter to turn.

Orange on wiring diagram goes from brake safety switch to starter solenoid.

    K-301 Exhaust valve tolerances

    Probably worn valve guide.

    Creeper ID?

High and low tunnel tractors. If you need an extension it just 1/8 pipe thread.

    comparing tractors, small farming

Check the driveshaft coupler on the engine. They get pretty worn and the slop will break the drive pin. Always happened to me plowing snow as far from the garage as I could be.

    Pull behind lawn sweeper

I have an Agri- fab sweeper from fleet farm store very good for the cost I think. I've had it 10 plus years trouble free.

    Solenoid 1330

Disregard the bit about the PTO engagement handle switch I was thinking about a 129 not a 1330.

    Lawns 2020

    Good looking tractor also.

    Solenoid 1330

If you do not have 12 volts on the small wire it won,t pull in the contacts. Follow the wires with a test light, my bet is on the PTO engagement handle switch up under the dash not letting power thru, or the brake peddle switch no letting power thru.

    Work begins on 104

I think A was a style reference. The service manual has info on the markings. Different styles used different rings if I recall.

    147 Project

Start em young they grow up fast. Some of the best times I had were spent wrenching with my son.

    Decisions, Decisions

I look at it like this I have paid 200 for a set of round fenders and 100 for a pair of weights. That makes the rest worth 50 bucks. Just my 2 cents.
