    May be easier to convert to foot control than change the dash tower and all the stuff that goes with it. Search for Steve Bluiner as he had done a very nice write up on his conversion a few years back.

    CC 1250 Engine Overhaul

    I can't hear a rod knock. Tighten up all the loose tins to stop rattling and see if it helps.

    The graphite button goes in the release arm not the clutch.

    I believe it's a 42, not 44 inch. Could also be a 48inch.

    124 voltage regulator

    There was an article in Lawn and Garden tractor magazine a year or so back about converting a voltage regulator to solid state electronics. The guy had instructions on how he did it, but I'm no electrician it was above my skill set.

    Why not fix it trunion slot and put new damper springs in. Get the slop out at the source and it won't creep.

    Put a magnetic heater on the rear end, the charge pump starts turning with the engine and cold oil is hard to turn.

    Not all 169's had hydro lift, so maybe they didn't all have ported pumps?

    You need the spec number when ordering Kohler parts as they made several different versions of the that engine.

    Loosen up the motor mount bolts and adjust it a bit until it doesn't bind. Then retighten the motor mount bolts.

    On the carb issue check the wear in the throttle shaft if you think it's sucking air.
