Marty Gwin How well does that later Brinly spring helper work? It looks better than the stock one for originals which was centered with a big goofy "T" bracket to bump against the seat spring.

(original through 123 model units) when one adjusts bent lift arms, I have found its best to overbend it slightly forward too much, then back a bit to straight so that the internal rod is centered and doens't chafe against the inner tubing of the handle itself so the release button works...

Kraig - I agree. It's another one I found in Roseville that has rear pto. From a farm out by Litchfield. Runs great, but tires rotted from farm animal manure. PO had replaced the ignition coil with a non-resistor car one, so the points had had a harder life before I got it. Your old 102...

Kraig - I just had to do the same points clean thing on my 102, after it unexpectedly died after a mow. Someone had just omitted the bottom points screw; that made things quicker!

Charlie I don't know what's up with your UD-6 beyond the stripped step gear, but when I had one apart the aluminum welch plugs were tuff to get out for sure, and there were snap rings under. PO had boogered lotsa silicone caulk trying to get it not to leak.

Original headlights- fwiw, i have a NOS original headlight kit, in the box. It has the goofy-squished-pipe-and-bent headlight brackets with it. I also have a set of used brackets, not surprisingly weld-repaired. Kraig you could show the front of 409 how someone (from the louisville...

Michael H. On the very next series 72-104-124-105-125 they recessed the key in a cup, but it was still in the same spot. some of us definitely know about digging out half the key after it was bent over one time too many.

re: 38" 3 blade pin-on deck with 8.5" tires: There was actually a rework sheet from IH showing how to cut the cast gage wheel mounts off, and bolt steel mounts near the center rear. I have a deck like that and its a little more scalp-prone. Kraig do you have a scan of that sheet?
