We've got a pretty great group here....

At the present, I'm skirting the edges of being banned from a forum I just joined for not kissing the feet of a member with several thousand posts, who chose to respond to my first post (a question about non standard use of a piece of equipment) not with an answer to that question but to tell me...

David - I have to make sure my long suffering next door neighbor doesn't see that or he'll want my parts 149 to make a little AC CA....

Justin - what Marty said.. Possible that the deck as cracked around that spindle from vibration - hopefully not rust. Not too bad to repair, but you need to make sure the spindle is resquared before welding the crack if that's the problem, as it's difficult to do after that.

Lee E: Roll Pin Punches are machined from hardened steel to prevent bending or breaking while driving in any size roll pin. These punches are designed with a hemispherical tip to provide proper alignment of the roll pin to prevent damage to the equipment and the roll pin. (somewhat plagiarized...

Marty.. all OEM . That cart is built like a brick s**those. I've abused that thing for 40 years (when Dad deeded us the property in '79 and we built). That rolled edge on top is braced on all four corners with cast iron ells that fit in the rails. The long suffering neighbor's Aliis CA front...

Justin - I get caught up in the questions here once in a while; after looking at what Kraig posted, I was scratching my head, until I realized the 127's battery is right in front of the tower. I'm guessing that the #7 wire is the ground wire and goes directly back to the battery ground post..

Dennis - a little too big for my 129, I think. I'd have to use a power pack with it, too. I moved 4 yards of dirt off a bigger (10,000 lb GVW) dump trailer I've borrowed, took about 2 hours to distribute 2 yards, off loading into the JD 80 trailer, and spreading in back yard, it wasn't too bad...

Always wanted a #2 cart.. Geez, I guess I'm stuck with the (OT) Green #80 I bought for my dad in 1969-70.. (for an eye opener, check E-screw prices on one - I might hold out for a trade, maybe a 982 or something close). I was going to post a picture of it on OT Friday, missed.

    Don T.

While I haven't started my 149 - 129 hydraulic transplant yet, contemplation of the possibility that the ported charge pump may be worn always brings memories of Don's adventure in rebuilding a pump. Every time someone asks about SG regulator wiring, memories of Don's travails in that area and...

Just to make sure everyone knows, the flooding is an intersection about a mile and a half away, where a major county drain crosses under the north south road. My house, although on the same drain, is high and dry (even though the feds say I'm in a flood plain). The intersection has been flooding...

I know this has been covered someplace... is the base of the block on a non-Cub K341 (in this case off an old Ford garden tractor) shaped differently to where a Cub K341 pan won't fit? Charley or someone posted pics at some point, but I'm suffering from Geezer memory today...

Jason: Not sure about a repower, remember you've got to adapt on both ends, for the driveshaft hub and the PTO clutch. I'm sure it can be done, but might be ugly. Just out of curiosity, what brand rod were you using? Was it part of a rebuild kit? I've heard of new rods seizing and breaking...

Ok, guys, so I won't tell you about using two bumper jacks, some pipe and chain to spread a '32 ford rear spring to fit on a '57 Olds rear end with mounts just a little bit too wide. (when I was 20 and see, I'm still here). I also ride a '56 Cushman with an 80 MPH engine and 40 MPH brakes. I...

Richard, great picture.. I've got a 8 foot job boom up about 14 feet in my barn with a electric hoist on it.. I used to pick my 129 up with it to change blades. Not long ago did the same with my Scag zero turn that's got a hitch sticking out the back. Wasn't paying close attention picking it up...
