IHCC 127 electrical. Dumber than I look

Pictures of newly installed, proper, VR To my ear it sounds like the tractor is running smoother, probably just relief that the parts worked 😅

IHCC 127 electrical. Dumber than I look

Mark Evans If I understand your question, I think this VR grounds through the feet. It states on the side of the plastic shroud that it grounds positive or negative I've ordered the proper VR for the 127 so this one will be backup for the 100

IHCC 127 electrical. Dumber than I look

I connected the generator wire to the bottom of the VR, as suggested by mgonitzke, and the tractor didn't spark when the battery was introduced to the system!!! The ignition switch did not activate the S/G, I considered many violent coping mechanisms. After I decided to not engage in those...

    Tire chains on AG tires

With tire chain pliers you can release the cross links (the ones going over the tires) from the rail (the ones going around the tires) Then you can reattach them, like Tkhoffam said, to the up right link in between. This will provide better traction and smooth the ride Tire chains are often...

    Tire chains on AG tires

    Tire chains on AG tires

These are what makes tire chains easy to work on They are spendy but they don't wear out If the chains are old and cold there is a possibility of cracking the cross link hook. That will induce some swearing if you're out of hooks

    Tire chains on AG tires

There are tire chain pliers that can be used to release the cross links and then reattach them. I've taken passenger car chains and sized them for garden tractors. It's tedious but usually end up with better chains.
