Aaytay Breather Assembly maybe the problem. Just had my engine in the shop and opened. I just went and looked and there was no filter, and with an aftermarket breather cover (one that can attach a hose onto it) the gasket center was covering the port hole....Won't get to test yet, but looks...

Breaking Driveshaft Rollpin. Upgraded to Aluminum clutch & Stainless steel shaft with coupling into creeper gear. The first pin in the coupling kept working out. So I tack welded the ends of the pins just to put a wide spot on the ends. It lasted longer but then sheared both ends with center...

Need help on a oil leak. K301 Leaking bad out of the governor rod. Looked at parts look up. Is the Cross Shaft Bushing what I need to fix this? And is it basically, Thead the old one off and thread the new one on? Or do I have to pull the rod and is there much to that? Thanks Gary C.

Don T. Thanks on the front PTO. I went out to try what you suggested, so I could let you know results. Now I find with the PTO not disengaging right I runt the thrust button. Will have to order one of them. Thanks , Gary

I pulled the engine on my 128. In taking the front PTO off I somehow knocked one of the pressure plates loose. Is there a way to adjust it without a gauge. I only have a narrow front gauge, and not a wide front. Or a non-brake gauge and not a brake gauge. ????

It is not as bad at higher RPMs. But can be loud and annoying. We took the engine out again after the 1st. hour of run. looked at the bottom, everything looked good. Ran it though the summer it remained the same. I haven't ran it since mowing season ended. Just now getting to it for next...

On the front PTO Clutch, I call them anti-rattle clips. I have seen a posting here before on them. Tried to search it, but could not find. Anyway. Left mine out after a rebuilt, and hear a bad knock. That I understand can be lack of that clip. How do they go in, don't remember. And can it be...

I believe CCC was owned by IH for a few years before being sold to MTD. What years did all things happen?
