    Voltage regulator 3wire vs. 4wire

I should be good then. Thanks Digger

    Voltage regulator 3wire vs. 4wire

Model 129, my 3wire voltage regulator test bad. I have a 4 wire regulator on hand. Without having an internal wire diagram of both regulators, I don't know if you can make the 4 wire work in place of the 3 wire. Comparing tractor diagrams that use the 3 wire vs. the 4 wire, it somewhat appears...

    Model 107 carburetor question

Just removed my carburetor because of flooding. Take a close look at the float. Mine was hollow plastic and had gasoline inside, easy to see. I believe even the foam floats can become saturated with age. Not sure how to examine the foam type. Someone one here could answer that. Good luck with...

How do you care for your underside mow deck ?

Power Coat is what I wanted to do years ago. Would be good with a typical lawn. My lawn is not typical, uneven, very soft, hilly. I tend to hit dirt and small gravel at times unless I mow with the deck all the way up. So I don't think even powder coating would hold up, it will still chip. Would...

How do you care for your underside mow deck ?

Agree with that. Not sure if my grass has a little higher moisture content. It is some type of native mountain prairie grass, will grow just over 5' tall if not mowed. I guessed if using water was not a good ideal. Just figured if you don't get all the grass off it would hold the moisture and...

How do you care for your underside mow deck ?

That's the key. Cleaning every mow. It just doesn't seem to happen that way. I just don't work my head and neck upside down as good anymore Yes agree . Cleaning after every mow is the key. That just doesn't seem to happen. Head and neck just don't like working upside down anymore. :confused...

How do you care for your underside mow deck ?

I wire wheel clean every spring. Use a metal prep cleaner, then prime and paint. I'm getting tired of those steps. Did think about a undercoat layer but was afraid it would cause more grass to stick, not being as smooth. But it could be a trade off if it protects the paint layer. Thanks

How do you care for your underside mow deck ?

Thanks Digger I knew there were products like this. Just didn't know if they would hold up past a couple of mows.

How do you care for your underside mow deck ?

I have tried many methods over the years to protect the underside of mower. Mostly different paints and technics. Only holds up for one season. My lawn doesn't help. Mountain creek meadow turf. So seems to always change, do pick up some dirt and gravel in spots. Maybe something that helps...

    1862 carburetor

Bought my 1862 last summer. After sitting for the winter, was going to bring it inside to do springtime maintenance. It took just a little bit to get gas primed up to carburetor, but started fine. Let idle and get warmed up. Started to drive it inside the garage, and it died. Then I could smell...

Harry B - Lost Terminology, is I don't know what you call the piece, I call the cam with the break/neutral slot. The base to that piece is what I adjusted. Pulled the plug wire so it would not start. Release the break, and bypass the break safety switch. Crank the starter and the machine creeped...

Harry B. Jim P. Adjusting connector rod back didn't change anything. BUT. I got it. Harry now going back and reading your suggestion you were on track. I just didn't understand neutral centering. (excuse my terminology). I thought the brake being set, catching the notch in the center of the...

Harry Not the normal whine. It seems hydro is vibrating the shaft and arm coming out of the tranny. Shaking all the other controls, the noise is mostly coming from the shaking controls. All this happens even before the engine starts. Going back out to look at it some more and play with the...

May have created my own Hydro problem. Have a 129. Used the FAQ to help me repair the Trunion arm. I was a little apprehensive having never worked on hydraulics before. But the whole thing went very well. Thank you for that. It was actually easy. As I finished , before putting on the drive shaft...
