Brian B. you do not have to have a creeper, but you might be riding the clutch alot. Try to stay with a 36inch thrower and you should be fine. Your 122 will do just fine.

Gary, I have used the Carlisle 8.50x12s with good luck. I put a set of TruPower 8.50 aggies on my son's 73 that has a 12 in it and they worked great. They have a nice square shoulder that seems to bite well. Of course the Firestone 8.50s are prolly the best, if you wanna spend that much cash.

Quote" I'm not sure I like the hydrostatic transaxle." I like this guy. Stick with the geardrive baby! Won't catch me on a whining Hydro.

See Chris. You need that buddy seat that I was talking about. I can always provide ballast.

New Cub Cadet Owner - HDS 3185 seeking info + tires

Micheal, I buy almost all my tires from tiresunlimited.com. Great prices and fast shippers. They shipped me the wrong tire once and paid for pickup and replacement.

Matt, I'll be at Freeport too. Gonna bring a couple Cub Cadets, a B and a Farmall Cub. I am also hoping we have the 1206 there also.

Cool Cub day today. Stopped by Houtz's for some parts today and picked up some of the new Cub Cadet racing stuff. It's pretty cool. I was gonna leave when a truck with new Cub Cadets arrived and blocked the drive. It was kinda busy there and Skip asked me to unload the semi with their Cub Cadet...

Rob N. I used a sleeve hitch for a quietline on one of my 1282s[same as a 582]. It worked fine. I think if you raised it all the way up it would hit the fender though.

    Disconnect clutch

Howard, I really think they are too expensive. Unless the tractor already has one. I priced one for my 782D. Then I bought a magnet heater For the rear end, and a battery tender. Together they work fine. And around 40 bucks was better than over 200!

Steve B. That is looking real good! Can't wait to see more in progress pictures. Do you think the creeper will hold up to 17 horse? I have a creeper in the cabinet that I was thinking of tossing in the 1000 plow tractor.

Got in some play time tonite with the new blower. We had 6 inches of really wet snow here. I see why the Apostle loves V-rods. My 18 Command sounds way cool snorting with a 451 blower. I may have to plow with this one at Travis'.

    Rear Rims for 3000 series

That is what I was thinking Rick. I saw an ad in Four Wheeler mag that had spacers of all sizes. You could trace your bolt pattern and send it to them. If I find the ad I'll send it to you Lonny.

Travis, you're not too far west for me. Any time or date is the right time and date for me to plow in Iowa.

Just wanted to take a moment to say Merry Christmas to all! May your gear drives grind happily and your hydros not be too slushy. And may your smokers,well... SMOKE (Message edited by gerickson on December 25, 2005)

Joe Abram, I just put a CW36 on Pat's 73 last weekend. It was an easy boltup. Any of the other throwers will fit right on too. Even if your Frankenstein bolts are gone you can bolt the quick tach directly to the frame. The guy I got the CW from had a QA 42 on a 100. It was a slick little setup.

Richard. That 16 Mag is an inch and a half higher than a K series? That would make it real close to how a KT sits on the mounting plate in a 782. Might be a neat motor option for a red one.

Steve, my 18 Mag is doing the same thing. I have cleaned and lubed and charged to no avail. Today I drug home the old ratty 102. It will get a chained and weighted tomorrow. The 102 runs about once every two months to move stuff around Dad's old hog house. Today it turned over about two...

For those who did not know, Keith Ehrecke was involved in the sale of my ultra rare, super strong, brush gaurd, grill protector, bumper and tow hitch. We managed to get $1000 dollars for this unique item by offering a $980 dollar rebate. I even had to throw in a 782 frame to complete the deal...
