    106 swamp resurrection. Of sorts

it's very simple to make your own driveshaft/spring tool. I made mine out of some long bolts (didn't have threaded rod handy).. and a couple pieces of steel plate.

As was mentioned by Hydroharry... I am close by (Winston Salem) ... and would be happy to clean/inspect and rebuild your original carburetor (if necessary). They are VERY easy... even with minimum experience. I have a restoration shop in Kernersville, where I rebuild antique cars- specializing...

    All Things Deer

Went up to my Dad's place in Waterford Pa... He reported seeing "deer" regularly in the back pasture. So, around dusk... I stood by the gate with my telephoto lens and saw these... 3-Bucks, 2-Doe, in different parts of the field. These pics are from 80-100 yards. The big one with symetrical...

SURE! Make me go out and wash my CC-108....

This is my 1973 Cub Cadet 108 -purchased from the son of the original owner- in 1996. It was worn and tired, smoked, and the deck needed work. But it cut my yard beautifully. I worked on it alot from year-to-year... replacing spindles, pulleys, belts, and having the motor rebuilt in 2000. I...

Help, I've fallen and can't get it right

DO NOT test new wiring with a battery... Instead, whenever I put a new harness in a car... I use my battery charger set on 2amps, and start chasing systems one at a time. IF there's a short, 2amps wont fry any wires, or hurt components.

Cub Cadets at local Tractor Show

Didn't really know where to post this... My local chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club- was invited to attend a local Tractor Show- The T'Ville Power Show in Thomasville, NC. There were several Cub Cadets there. If I had known.. I would have brought mine... since my Studebaker isn't roadworthy...

    Spring garden work.

as far as "pressure"... you will not need much in a 50gal Drum... much over #10-#15 and you will compromise the drum. If it's just to help gravity and create a more consistent pattern- you can get a small 12V pump made for air-horns (used alot on motorcycles). They will have low pressure, but a...

    14hs 321a is to tight

not sure on the 321. but on a K241, you can reverse the rod cap, and the crank won't get oil. Perhaps the rod cap has to be on a certain direction to work on the 321???

    1282 engine problems

BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE: Check the oil level. If it is very high, or smells like gasoline... STOP! You may have a stuck or sunken float in the carb, that is allowing fuel to flow freely into the crankcase. This will create all kinds of problems. CHECK and REPORT
