    CC 1711 Power Steering

This fine CC1711 cuts like a champ. But at age 74 and trying to steer and manuver around a lot of trees and stuff at this shop where I cut the grass is wearing me out. Can you buy a power steering unit for such a unit?

    Motor oil

There are some other guys arund here that I am sure that does this oil/gas pickup. They don't have the $200k+ Safety Klean rig. I'm going to call one of them. They are likely 1/2 of the Safety Klean rate.

    Motor oil

I have a classic car retoration business. We have some waste oil and gasoline. We use Safety Clean to pick up this stuff. They came this week and took off 10 gallons of oil gasoline. They charged $19.33 per gallon! Is that robbery or not. We will just keep the gasoline and use it on a burn pile...

How Often To Grease Deck Pullies

I paid my lawnmower fix it guy (I can't fix anything!) a fortune to rebuild the deck on this CC 1711. I want to try to take care of these expensive pullies. How often do I need to grease them? Can you blow them out with too much grease? Thanks. Mike Martin Madison, Ms

    CC 1711

Yes. I appreciate these old lawn tractors/mowers. To me they just about never 'age'. With a little care they can run for decades. i have a 108 that i ran for 30+ years. Tks Mike

    CC 1711

This 1984 ('85?) CC 1711 runs great. I bougth it for $250 but then had to spend a $ton to get it to run good, rebuild the deck, etc. It only has 420+ hours on it. That thing will really tackel some high grass.

    1984 CC 1711

i don't continually adjust the deck height but sometimes in close quarters you need to steer, hydro go and adjust the deck at one time. Like I said I'll do better w practice. Tks.

    1984 CC 1711

Yes on those hub caps. It had the back ones when I got it. A good fellow on this forum had the front ones and I bought those. I need to paint the wheels front and back. I wish the 1711 had power steering. Trying to drive and control the deck higth and the hyro control needs 3 arms. I'll do...

    1984 CC 1711

I have a classic car restoration shop. A guy that owned a '65 Corvette had died. They wanted me to look at it to help establish a value as they were going to sell it (and several other high end cars). When I went to his house south of Clinton Ms the first thing I saw was this CC1711 Hydro lawn...

    1711 Deck Rebuild

The deck has been rebuilt new hubs and belts and blades. We recently built a new building to house this car restoration 'hobby' of mine. We will use the 1711 to mow around this building. The 1711 needs a new seat. Where best to get one of those?

    New From Madison, Ms

My little classic car restoration "hobby" has a bit too much momentum. Here is a Facebook site a guy keeps up for me: Log in or sign up to view We've got a lot going on. I like it.

    New From Madison, Ms

The deck hub assemblies on the 1711 were worn (after about 40 years.) My lawn tractor fix it guy is replacing the hub/pulley assemblies. These things are expensive ($300+ each). They could perhaps be rebuilt but I have elected to replace them. My $250 1711 is way beyond that now!

    Deck Rebuild

Can you advise what are the correct numbers for the 3 assemblies? For a stock unit that was cutting fine (but those assemblies are worn out and making a lot of racket) is the 'speeup' needed? Sorry to ask but I know little.

    Deck Rebuild

To confirm, is part # 126393-C1 the correct hub/spindle/bearing assembly that is needed for this deck (44" from a 1985 CC 1711.)? Those are expensive, about $300 each. The bearing rebuild kits are about $47 each. Should I consider that route? Thanks for the help. Mike

    Deck Rebuild

I have a 1985 Cub Cadet 1711 Hydro (photo below). The deck needs to be rebuilt. I cannot fix anything but my tractor guy can fix most everything. He says we need the complete hub assemblies for the three hubs on this 44" deck: pulleys, hubs, bearings and seals. Is there a source for these items...

I am calling CC Specialties. No direct answer and I have left a couple of messages last week. I guess those folks get away from there some?
