    p.s. a bead sealer is a good idea also, like the Permatex brush on gasket sealer adhesive (purple or brown both work- brown is a bit thicker) it fills minor voids and cleans up easy when servicing tire down the road. apply to the rubber tire bead.

    I would say to paint them also, I worked for goodyear service and tire for a while when younger. the bead should be protected to prevent rust from forming. as a pretreatment I use a product called "ICI 1 STEP" brush on 2 coats 30mins. apart and it converts rust from an active oxide into a...
