Jerry, It's probably time to beg, borrow or steal. To save a good 1250, I think a story is in order, a sob story. It can go like this: "That's my late grandfather's tractor. He bought it new. It has sentimental value to me as granddad used that 1250 to drive through a blizzardly snow storm...

    Simplicity Tractors

You might want to include a Case/Ingersoll as on of the "good" tractors-so that makes 5.

Kraig, Yes that would help. Also any help on outlining and toc formatting in word would be appreciated. I am assuming most of the parts in the QL series are the same, except for engine, decals, and a few minor things. I could consolidate all the models in the QL into one or at least, two -...

Thanks, Don. If I could learn a little more about outlining and Table of Contents formatting in Microsoft word, it would go faster and better. Also it would have been nice to have the NLA part numbers available. That would have been valuable for anyone who is looking for used NLA parts.

I couldn't find TC-157 anywhere, either on the pdf page site or anywhere else. I know I could have bought one from Binder Books, but I decided to create my own using the Cub Cadet Parts site. 1250 Parts Catalog

Kraig, It sure does seem that way - especially to my wife. I also have a lead on another 1450 and a 1650. I might have to go look at those also. I'm still trailing Lewis as he seems to find one every other day.

Lucas, 3 - all run pretty good, though one smokes a little.

Lucas, That's one of my 104s - I used it to pull the 1250 to the trailer and onto the trailer.

Here's what I picked up this weekend. A 1250 that will need an engine rebuild. The head is off of it (it's in the battery tray) and it's missing the carb. I have the side engine panels. I'm going to go back for this 1450. It's supposed to run, but has a noise in the engine.

    Trucks

Matt, Kirk, others, Mahindra offers manual transmission in other markets, but it won't be available for the US market - just the automatic. They probably did some kind of market research and decided Americans want automatics. Go figure.

    Veterans Day

I know it's a couple of days away, but one day, in my opinion, isn't enough to honor our veterans who gave up the comforts of home to fight for our freedom. Check the following videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=KTb6qdPu8JE http://www1.va.gov/opa/vetsday/ Staff Sergeant (E-6)...

Don T., The 1x8/1x9 had different color stripes for each hp tractor. The 86 (8 hp) had a yellow stripe, the 108/109 (10 hp) had a green stripe, the 128/129 (12 hp) had a red stripe, while both the 149 (14 hp) and the 169 (16 hp) had a blue stripe.

Harry, Don, I was in lurking mode in the early years of this site. I remember seeing posts from the Reverend, Jim Steele, Kraig, Travis, etc. At the time I was searching for either a JD or a CC - went with a JD 214. I didn't pick up my first CC until 2009 - I now have several. I would check...

Sort of before and after pictures of the 104 I picked up about 3 weeks ago: Before: After a bath and with the 107 fender deck temporarily placed on it: I got the steering column replaced and got it running - runs good. Things it will still need, wheel bearings in...

Guys, if you remember, I picked this 104 up - it just cost me a JD rear engine rider. The previous owner, who is an alcoholic and lost his license, was using it to drive the mile into town and back. Apparently on one trip, he must have been drunk, because he drove it into the...

Allen, Yes, of course. As I mentioned the audio and the images came from Kraig's CDs. I just put them together and created a video.
