    I’ve always used an old Binks 62 and filter everything always use fisheye and mix thin and spray lightly and let tack and at the last two coats go almost all thinner and let set for a day and a half !!!!!! Got three cans for the gun to fit on and every two paint jobs, I rebuild all seals in it. !!!

    Be careful some gens have the engine and gen shaft is one complete piece !!!!!!!

    No vacuum secondary’s on this one !!!! Are you running solid or partial hydraulic lifters ??? Nice oil pan, I personally like a 425 torque converter, but it looks like you may run a high stall torque converter, (small diamitor) !!!!

    On mine I had four mounting bolt spacers between engine and plate that were just over 1/2 inch tall and I ran washers on the bottom and started all four bolts at the same time

    Is this a 782 and is there double up rag joints and new balls on each end of the shaft mine had a wore spot on one end and had to re-weld it and true up to fit ball right !!!! Are the spacers tall and right size ????

    The engine came out of a camper special made in April of 1970 and a vented bell housing marked for vets.

    The 400 had some that had three freeze plugs along the side and the standard ones with two and you have to debur the block to remove stress points, mine is all TRW 30 over bore and .05 turn on crank, is a forged billet one !!! Mine a tall truck/vet block.

    Don’t forget to set the free speed governing RPM And set it at 2800 not 3000 it will live a lot better in the long run on new engine and retest after 10 hours run time !!!!! I always tested two RPM’s types shaft out put and electric cat tach gun !!! My SON and student !!!!!!
