129 low power at full throttle

I wish I was there to help you, but obviously I'm not. I ran into an issue like this on an abused 1964 Cub Cadet 100. Text me at [email protected].

129 low power at full throttle

Still sounds like a fuel issue to me. Anyway, set your spark plug to .030", then adjust your points to .020, which is the only way to set timing. Be sure the negative side of the ignition coil is wired to the points, and give it another go.

129 low power at full throttle

It's tough troubleshooting something invisible, but if the governor is properly set, the throttle plate fully opens with the throttle control, and if the points are set right and you have a strong spark, there isn't much left to consider except insufficient fuel. When you load up the engine...

129 low power at full throttle

30 ft. lbs. is the recommended head torque. Sounds like you might have a governor issue. I've had this problem several times in the past, and I did the following: Start the engine, open the throttle wide open. With your finger, move the governor arm forward (counter clockwise). Does the...

    Why won't my tractor run??????

Sounds like you need to replace the float inlet needle and seat.

    682 engine number

Check around online, as I got a replacement starter for my 782 for about $60. Seems starter prices are all over the chart!

    CCC 682 dealer model

Just get a Hobbs meter and swap it out. This OEM unit looks like some abortion engineered by Congress!

    Cub 70 motor smoking

The last Model 70s were produced in 1965, so if you have the originally installed engine, it's at least 59 years old. Who knows what had been done (or had never been done) to the engine in all that time! If you're serious about this tractor, and if the engine rins and doesn't knock and bang...

    Score!

Great! I never saw that IH pickup byTruScale before!

    Sand Blasting setup

Just an idea, but if you get a blasting cabinet, get one a bit larger than you're considering....you'll be glad you did. As for the larger items, take them where you've been taking your parts . As for your cabinet, put a surround about it....maybe plastic curtains....because no matter what...

    106 vs 127 vs 147 Newbie Questions

Putting 6 ply tires on a Cadet is like putting truck tires on a Prius....totally needless. Plus, lug-style tires are nearly worthless in the snow.

    Cub Cadet 129

Looks like those battery cables are toast!

    PISTON RING SIZE

Back in '85 I rebuilt a K241 in my Cub Cadet 100, and snapped the top ring. Yep, I had to buy another set. Our local Southern States farm cooperative carried the rings.

    100 Rear end fluid

I always used SAE 30 detergent engine oil in the rear ends of my Original and my current 100.

    Best ignition coil

I hope you get it! I needed a 782 coil over the summer, and after ordering it, was given a "tracking number". It saw it was coming from France! It made it to the US, cleared customs, then supposedly made it into the US Postal system, but guess what? I never received it! I finally hot a...

    Best ignition coil

On the CC 782 and others like it, the original coil mount, directly on top of the engine, is a terrible place!

    CC 125 pto clutch removal

Ditto! I've done it that way numerous times. Just get the grill and muffler out of the way.

    CC 125 pto clutch removal

You're right! Has a large pipe wrench been used to attempt to loosen the bearing from it's locking collar?

    CC 125 pto clutch removal

If you're trying first to get those set screws out of the main body, use a carbide bit to drill them, then use the appropriate "easy out". Try this first before cutting, chiseling or blasting the PTO assembly. First remove the tractor's grill and grill surround as well as the muffler so you'll...
