Parts Wanted ISO CubCadet 1050 side panels.

Hi Mike, I wish they would work but I need the carburetor (left) side panel only for a 12/14/1650 Quiet Line but am willing to buy both if necessary to get the one I need. Thanks anyway, Henry

Parts For Sale quietline side panels

I need the carburetor side panel so am a buyer assuming that they are in good shape. Don't really need the other side so maybe the best thing would be for you to just keep it and maybe someone else will need it and I can avoid the shipping. Not sure how to do the transaction. Thanks.

    Some extra parts

Brewed up a 5 gallon batch of beer earlier this summer. No deposit problem but sometimes a disposal issue.

    Postal delivery problems

Several years ago I made a turn around my driveway so that UPS trucks could safely come and go because it was obvious that backing down my steep drive wasn't a great plan. Not long after that an ambulance had to come and thank goodness the driveway and turn around were able to handle that big...

Tractor Wanted WANTED- Quiet Line Cub Cadet-1250-1450-1650 with 44A-50A Mower Deck

Glad to see the mower topic being addressed. It's too big to fit between the wheel houses on the pickup bed and would almost certainly damage either the tractor, the truck or the mower or all three if stood on edge and rumbling around while going down the road.

Tractor Wanted WANTED- Quiet Line Cub Cadet-1250-1450-1650 with 44A-50A Mower Deck

Hi Steve, Sounds like this may work out to be a win-win and an opportunity to bring the 1650 back to the working world! And this morning, after having spent an hour or two washing and degreasing the 1450 "parts" machine, without too much work and a borrowed battery it cranked, started right up...

Tractor Wanted WANTED- Quiet Line Cub Cadet-1250-1450-1650 with 44A-50A Mower Deck

Hello Steve, I live in Michigan for six months and in Raleigh the rest of the time (commute in a full sized Silverado into the bed of which a Cub Cadet will conveniently fit) so please stay tuned. If, by this October you haven't found your Quiet Line maybe we can help each other out. I recently...

    What Should I Do?

Thanks for your very clear and helpful reply. I'm guilty of befuddlement and that "1640" I mentioned is actually a 1450! And your preference for the 169 is aligned with what I hoped to be the choice as the "Keeper". I'm too ignorant about all things Cub Cadet to make my choice without...

    What Should I Do?

Help! What should I do? Which one should I keep? In an earlier post I detailed my first Cub Cadet (a well used 169 with mower, cultivator and snow blower) as well as my Number Two which is a 149 that has a lot of good parts that I planned to move to the 169 (my keeper) and then refurbish the...

Cream white color on dash tower

I agree with all you've said here. The can's directions say " apply a second coat or clear coat within 1 hour or after 48 hours. Apply clear in 2-3 light coats a few minutes apart". Although they don't say so I wouldn't use anything other than a Rust-Oleum clear over Rust-Oleum brand color coat.

Cream white color on dash tower

Bought a couple cans of Rust-Oleum High Gloss White Sand (348856) and shot some on the top of the grille housing and hood panel. It appears to be an exact or, at least, very, very close match. At $4.46 a can from Menards I'm happy. Will over coat with clear for durability sake.

    Cub hour meter & lights.

Thanks, good information. Now all I need to do is find one since my 169's has gone missing.

Cream white color on dash tower

Sometime in 2020 VW bought a 16% interest in Navistar and then the rumors started that they would be bringing back the Scout (ala Bronco). If that happens it'll likely be a eScout since VW is going all electric to go with the eCub Cadets now being made.

Cream white color on dash tower

Odd factoid regarding the Cub Cadet White: I happen to have a two-tone '56 Chevy and the India Ivory appears to be the exact same as the Cub Cadet White. Don't know if I should risk using my rainy day stash of India Ivory on the tractor because then Murphy's Law will come into play and I'll...

Good that you are here. Looks like we are both in Michigan but at least 400 miles apart.

Thanks Robert. However, the plot has thickened because yesterday I bought a 149 and am faced with a dilemma that I'd like to describe and solicit opinions with regard to my plan to resolve it. I started out with the intention of acquiring a 129, or 149 or 169 based on having watched the...
