As David said, get a wedge screwdriver, after your eye sight starts to go downhill, your fingers lose their nimbleness, and the shop light moves, the milk crate starts to rock you're sitting on,you'll wish you had extras.Don't ask me how I know.

    1864 blade removal

All good ideas and techniques. We should all say a prayer for the guy that over tightened this.It didn't need to be this tight.Every assembly has its proper torque.Over or under has consequences. A good 6 point socket ,and replace that nut if its messed up.

    42 in deck

When looking at that diagram of the spindles and this conversation on the direction of seal insertion,I'm not embarrassed to ask that when you use the word "backwards" does that mean rubber out,or metal out?So top one should be ??????out.Bottom one should be ?????? out? I just like to do things...

    Newbe Question

If that dealer wants to make a 600 dollars,he really has to step up to the plate.I'd hand him 300,and drag it out of there, after turning engine over with socket on S/G.

    K-301 Started using oil.

I have a K-301 in a 125.Last fall after lapping the valves, flattening the head, adjusting the lash, points and plug.I proceded to do the fall leaf mulching, with using just a bit of oil.30 weight.I did an oil analysis, which can back,no serious issues. It sat all winter. Now this spring, fresh 30w.,a...
