    Cub 125 electrical issues

I recently acquired a Cub Cadet 125 with electrical issues. When I connected a battery the starter, generator began turning the engine over with the key in the off position. Any ideas as to where I should start looking? Could it be a bad part, miss connected wire or both?

    right-angle gear box grease

Can anyone tell me how much “0” grade grease to put in the right-angle gear box on my 1650? I checked all the manuals I have and quantity is not listed.

I scored a nice IH lapel pin at auction. Any ideas how these were acquired originally?

They would also send lapel pins, money clips, key chains as well as other thing in stock order from time to time. Received many that way and would pass them on to good customers.

    Fluid level

Now you tell me! Nothing wrong with a little self-promotion. Chalk one up for Digger. It is always fun being the new kid on the block or in this case gray-haired old goat. LOL

I have used Cub Cadet Specialties, nice people to deal with.

    Fluid level

So, the differential and hydro share the same HyTran fluid. I was thinking the differential would use a heavier gear oil. Learning something everyday. Thanks

    Fluid level

I have looked through the manuals but was unable to find out how you check the level of/or add Hytran to the hydrostat on my 1650. What am I missing or am I just blind?

    Hi from Idaho.

The electrical problem ended up not being an issue, just bad diagnosing by the former owner. As for the brakes, I haven’t had the chance to pull a wheel off to get a good look. I do know the pedal goes all the way down, and the clamping force is only enough to slightly disturb the rust on one...

    Hi from Idaho.

Just purchased a 1650 Cub with a 44” mower deck, #2 tiller, sickle mower and snowplow. Runs well but has a brake and electrical problem. Shouldn’t amount to much and be a good winter project.
