Thanks! I finally broke down and forked over the money today for a pair of Firestone 3-ribs. I also picked up a 2-spool valve to convert this to a twin-stick setup.

I love seeing the old black and white photos from the past. Today, I picked up another set of wheel weights to mount on the back of the wheels and a new seat cover since mine has a hole in it.

I found a push-pull switch at the local Orscheln farm store that was a perfect fit.

Thanks Harry. Check out that reflection. I can read the air cleaner decal in that paint.

    Nice work on the loader.

Thanks guys! I just used a cheap Harbor Freight gun and some cheap Vansickle paint.

I’ve been working on a set of wheel weights that will look like the cast center of an IH 1066 38” wheel. A friend measured a set of wheels and made a scaled down drawing for me. Today, I designed the scale wheel weights to mount to my wheel weights.

That turned out nice. The first lathe I ever ran was a South Bend in high school machine trades class.

John, nice work. Midwest Super Cub makes a set of 20% underdrive gears that replace the 7:1 gear reduction at the front of the transmission. That would reduce the strain on the creeper and maybe allow you to use 3rd gear without blowing your hat off.

Finished block sanding the hood and sprayed a final coat of primer yesterday. Calling for low humidity this week so I should be able to finish painting the hood.

Paint looks nice. Makes me want to repaint my lathe.

Finished the reflectors today. I adjusted the carb and checked the max RPM. Pulled it outside and let it run a while to break in the engine. Picked up some more white paint for the hood and a battery to replace the one I stole from the 129.

Thanks guys. I’m sure if the “correct police” saw these they would consider them a felony offense but if they started looking the tractor over they would wanna lock me up for 20 to life. Lol

Since I don’t have the reflectors for the fenders, I decided to build my own instead of paying the high price for a set of nice originals. I milled a pocket in some aluminum and cut reflector material to fit them. They’ll be glued in with clear epoxy. The mounting brackets are stainless.

Thank you. Got the gas tank straps on today and took off the hood. There’s some wavy spots on the hood that I’m not happy with. I’ll fix it with some high build primer and repaint it. I also put on the front hydraulic couplers.

Thanks! Don’t worry, I drove it around the back yard. Didn’t wanna take any chances and cause a local supermodel to wreck her Ferrari cause she was checking out my sweet ride. Lol
