Tractor For Sale For Sale: October 1964 International Harvester Cub Cadet 100 Lawn & Garden Tractor

Yes, you can spend a lot of money on these tractors and never re-coup the expenses. I refurbed my first cub (128) several years ago, and spent a little over 2K in parts. I did all the work myself, except for recovering the seat. I know I would not get 1K for it, but that's fine. I am not gonna...

    Identify this part

Maybe came off of some type of lawn sweeper. Kind of doubt it is cc stuff. Most attachments were painted white, especially if it was a Brinly attachment.

Tractor For Sale 1966 Cub Cadet 1656

You might want to check the date of that cub again. In 1966 cub cadet made the model 71, 102, 122, and 123. Posted pics will help sell it too. ;)

    Transmission test

I am guessing the drill is not turning fast enough. The rpm of the drill is probably not even close to the rpm of the engine.

If the belt pulley assembly is turning the wrong way, why not rotate it 180 degrees? Then it will be turning the right way.

Anthony, The plate above the pto in your pic is not factory. Not sure what it was used for.

There should be a release lever to allow you to tow it.

    It' Alive!!

Do not put a puller on the basket. Make sure you only pull the pto. You could try and see if the pto and bearing will pull off. Spray some pb blaster between the pto and the basket. You will have to remove the thrust button. Put a nut between the puller tip and crankshaft to keep the puller tip...

Rear PTO options? One of these and a belt, and you could run a lot of stuff. It would just run a little slow though.

It could have vibrated due to a lot of stuff loose/worn, kinda flopping around. Definitely time for some TLC. CCSpecialties icon at the top of the page can get you the good quality stuff you need fast. (y)

    Best ignition coil

If you are having a lot of coils go bad, you may have other issues causing this. I may be wrong thinking off the top of my head, but voltage regulator popped up in my tired mind. CCSpecialties has some nice coils. ;)

    Monkeying around in Shultzie's garage

Since it appears to have some red paint on it, I would rule out Brinly! :errrr: Looks pretty old though.

    2284 COIL REPLACEMENT?

Lewis, Welcome to the forum Dale! I think Lewis is saying you don't have to use all caps. I think that is kinda saying like shouting.

    Coil and ignition points

Not knocking other sponsors, but you can get all the quality stuff you need from CCSpecialties. ("Charlie", "Digger", not sure about any other names. :errrr:) Not to mention you will get it PDQ!

Welcome to the forum! It's not against the law to have more than one cub. ;) Also, it wouldn't cost you anything to keep it.

Welcome to the forum! Hate it's under these circumstances though. It may be too late for this, but has the filter and fluid been changed lately?

What’s involved with adding a mower deck to a 70/100?

Welcome to the forum! Do a little research, by looking at the deck manuals and tractor manuals. Out of the three, the 100 will have the most power.
