    Hello for north Carolina

How is it going out there now? Looks like it has passed, but the waves are up according to reports.

    105 cub

A 105 would be worth fixing up in my book. Even if the motor is a replacement. Pictures would definitely be a big help. I would be curious to see what kind of pto is on it for sure. If you spent $1,500 getting it right, it would still be a lot cheaper. Buying a piece of mowing mess they sell...

    Scam or not?

If you ask enough questions over a period of time, you can almost figure out if it is a scam or not. Scammers do not like to answer questions, they just want you to hurry and send them the money. Legitimate people do use odd names to protect themselves. Almost all sites require a code name, and...

    Current project

From the pic, it appears the external pump is driven by a belt from the front PTO. Why would the muffler be in the way? Do you have any pics of under the hood?

Hello from the Florida Panhandle (Tallahassee)

Welcome Floyd! There are all kinds of attachments, you just have to surf the web to find them. A good place to look is facebook marketplace and craigslist. (y)

    Current project

Wouldn't the muffler be in the way where it is, instead of being back under the hood? At least it appears that way.

    Ground hornets

I'll trade with you. I have a Japanese hornet nest somewhere near my house. They fly mostly at night, unlike most bees which move during the day. They will come to light. They are about 2 inches long, and sound almost like a gas powered model plane when they fly. :yikes:

    Funny Ads

I take it somebody just happened to put an IH emblem on the grille. Instead of all that trouble, just put a dozer blade on the front of a cub cadet. At least it would look better. ;)

    149 rock shaft question

Use a coiled spring pin instead of a bolt or roll pin. Not 100% sure at this moment, but I think there is more than one coiled spring pin in there somewhere. You could also check the deck linkages, and mule drive for wear.

    Generator/Starter ~ Test, Rewind/Replace

No need for a replacement. Just take it to a good alternator shop and have them rebuild it. Last time I checked, it would cost around $40. ;)

    What model/year is my cub?

Wow! What a gift! An "O" that appears to be all original with fenders, wheel weights, and a #1 cart to boot! You hit the jackpot!!! You ought to take her out to a big steak dinner for all that! ;)

    44C Gator Blades

Bought some oregon brand blades for my SCAG. They were worn out before even 40 hours of use! That is two years of mowing for me. Needless to say, that is the last set of oregon blades for me.
