    Tree trimming help

There's not much weight in the load, a lot of small branches but the trailer itself is 900 lbs. It's what I love about this tractor, it's a workhorse!

Recommendation for "Good" Fuel Shut Off Valve

I had 2 different 1872's (M18) that would do this occasionally. I added an electric solenoid/shutoff. I believe I attached it to the firewall and picked up an ignition wire to power when key was on. I attempted a carb rebuild and when that didn't work took it to the local Cub dealership. They...

    Welding - general

My dad used to fix up my failed exhaust systems also. I bragged that he could weld two pieces of rust together. In the 70's I had a Triumph Bonneville that developed a gas leak 50 miles from home. Stupidly I decided to just ride it home and have dad work his magic' He had a huge medat soldering...

    What fits what?

Hi guys, I purchased a 58 snow blade for my SZ60 in June. I did a fair amount of research and was pretty sure it was the right one. It was not. I called Cub and asked if they could verify the right plow for the Zero turn and they did that. Then I asked if they could tell me what Model Number...

    Prayers & Positive Thoughts, Please

Hey Greg, Hang in there buddy. I had a knee replacement in 2021 and had a bit of anxiety prior to the surgery. I think you'd be abnormal if you didn't get a little worked up. I hope all goes well, we'll be looking to hear from you post surgery. Curt

    Champion generators, any good?

If I were closer, I'd came take it all in 6 or 8 foot lengths. This was part of an ash that fell in my neighbors woods. I'm a fan of the almost extinct ash tree.

Woodworking advice for period-correct shelves in antique walnut hutch

It's not likely you'll find old rippled glass in 1/4 or larger. Any time I go to a tag sale I look or old glass, it's hard to find.

Woodworking advice for period-correct shelves in antique walnut hutch

Are ther already holes for shelf pins or cleats/supports. You might consider glass, a lot of vintage cabinets used glass and any glass shop can cut to size and finish edges. Most sawyers rough cut to 1 inch, 1 1/2 and up. Any time I've bought rough cut I generally got 1 inch and planed to...

    Champion generators, any good?

I have a Generac that I bought in 2002. It's the 7KW model. It failed under warranty, ran fine, no output. It's been great ever since. Over time I discovered it would power the entire house backfed from my workshop. It burns about a gallon an hour, most of the outages here are 2 to 4 hours...

    Hello from Michigan 1872

Welcome Ray, I've owned 2 1872's. They are among my favorite workhorses. Both had about 1000 hours when I sold them. The only issues I had; Both had a problem that fuel would bleed into cylinders after sitting a while. That was fixed with an electric shutoff tied to ignition. Both had rear...

    Champion generators, any good?

I had the 5.5 Honda in a power washer, the pump failed after about twenty years due to operator error. I gave the motor to a neighbor to power his kids go cart a couple years ago, it's still going strong.
