    My collection is complete!

I bought a 95 and a 97, just realized this morning the one I already had was a 96, Royal Flush! Maybe paid too much but what could I get today for $1900 and am a huge fan of the Supers. Of course I'd have a lot to choose from in the used Cub market but I've owned a 2284 for ten years an it has...

    My collection is complete!

I saw a Craigslist ad for two 2284 Supers. 2 Supers, two Haban 60 decks and one configured with the front ports and a 54 inch blade. I called and chatted with the seller for quite awhile but the first ask was more than I wanted to spend. A week later the price was lowered to $3950 and I called...

    Scored a Cyclops!

I don't think you'l have too much trouble finding a deck. You might want to check and see if there are any Tractor junkyards in your area. We have one that's pretty amazing. They park the tractors by MFG so you see this sea of green, sea of yellow. They strip all the decks and other parts and...

    New whacker reco’s

Good to hear you're happy with them, which models did you get. Looks like a 10", 14" or 18" with a 5AH battery available on the saw?

    New whacker reco’s

Well, somebody has to be the voice of dissent. I bought an Echo combo about 5 and 1/2 years ago. It was a chainsaw blower in 58V. My old chainsaw and other two cycle devices blower, string trimmer chainsaw were just too hard on my surgically altered shoulders. I was surprised the Echo battery...

    My fleet

So if the 18XX 20XX 21XX and 22XX are Cyclops, what these guys nickname?

    Motor oil

It's interesting in the manual for my 2015 SZ60 with the Kawasaki 27HP it gives a blessing to the Rotella and several others. I've been using Rotella as long as I can remember. My move to Rotella was a result of many discussions on several compact tractor forums. Engine Oil: Shell Rimula 15W40...

Newbie to IH Cub Cadet In Ohio

Hi Brian, The 1641 has a important valve adjustment at around 600 hours. My dad had one that missed that adjustment and it caused a bit of interference? damage. I think it's just your typical valve clearence adjustment. It was a long time ago but as I recall it only affected 1641's with the B&S...

    Breaking Insane Tire Bead

You could go this route and get a nice tool as a bonus. This would look great in a garage after a refurb. I used one of these about 50 years ago, they did the job! https://lancaster.craigslist.org/tls/d/hopeland-coates-manual-tire-machine/7593669885.html

    Highest Hours?

The Magnum and Command series uses an Ignition module. Not sure there is a primary to test. I could test plug to ground, either side. Here's the schematic. http://www.kohlerengines.com/engines/onlinecatalog/pdf/sm_24_690_06.pdf

    Highest Hours?

Hi Gary, As Matt pointed out the wires are a component of the ignition module. I've replaced two of those on earlier tractors. As I recall both wires come off a central module.

    Highest Hours?

I will say the two 1872's were running strong when I sold them. One was for a 2284 I'd been lusting after forever. I bought it with 500 or so hours about 10 years ago. It just turned 1000 this past season. My primary mower became a SZ60 about three years ago. The 2284 pulls a lot of trailers...

    Highest Hours?

I don't do this on purpose but it seems somewhere after 1000 hours I start looking at replacements.

    Solenoid

Have you had a chance to dig in to the 2284 yet. I've owned one for 15 years or so, great tractor.

    just a reminder about mice

I own a couple of PCP's Once I bought a compressor it was hard to stop buying them. I have the Marauders cousin, the Armada. That was my first PCP, amazing airguns. My last was an FX in 30 cal.
