How Difficult to Replace Wiring Harness

I made my own harness from scratch for my 782. I would suggest taking masking tape to mark the ends of your new harness as to where it goes BEFORE disconnecting the old harness. This way you have a picture in your mind that all connections are accounted for.

Help with starter on newer xt1 46"

So that's what it was? Hydrolock in one cylinder?

Mating Driveshaft to none standard engine

The engine model is 422437 its an opposed twin. And, boy, I am hoping it ends up being a plug and play. Hopefully thr bolt pattern on the pull cord end will simply accept the driveshaft adapter off the Kohler K17. The gas feed, the choke bracket and throttle bracket are on the same respective...

Mating Driveshaft to none standard engine

Yeah, I know what it looked like. A bunch of similar tractors would show up within different groupings. Using the link I posted on previous thread, I type in "782" and I get only 22 individual parts. It doesn't show me that multil model listing like it did. If you folks click the link I gave...

Mating Driveshaft to none standard engine

Just ran up to firehouse to take pics. Optional Pull Start is assembled so no help in viewing that.

Mating Driveshaft to none standard engine

Parts lookup changed. Do they not support our old Garden tractors? I used to be able to type in "782" and it would bring me to options...engine, attachments, etc. Now it goes nowhere. https://www.cubcadet.com/en_US/content-asset-page-includes/ari-partstream.html

Mating Driveshaft to none standard engine

So there is hope that this engine (model not known yet) may actually accept a standard connection. It's not a Vanguard, I don't believe. That would be too much to hope for. Adapting the Mule end is not a factor as I do not use it. Trailer hitch for trailers and snowplow duties (when snowfall is...

Mating Driveshaft to none standard engine

What have you folks done to mate a stock Driveshaft to an engine you swapped in? Are the Crank ends ( on front fan end) made to accept additional mountings? The K17 Gen 1 is mounted 'backwards' in the 782. In order to get rotation correct, I have to do the same with new engine. I'm not familiar...

    Funny Ads

Probably for asthetics more than strength. A few 1" welds would do but it wouldn't look nearly as nice.

Must have been a MIG, I think he would have run out of Stick 3/4 of the way through

1330 only runs on gas poured down carb

Chances are you don't need any new parts. Take the carb off, drop the Bowl and see if the float moves freely. Push the float up and see occupy can blow thru the fuel nipple. You shouldn't be able to. Let the float drop, see if you can blow thru the fuel nipple. Hopefully you can. Stop...

Advice needed front end loader on 2284

Please, nobody get their panties in a twist. This is just my thoughts. Before considering an FEL for your Cub, you need to think about what specifically you will attempt to do with it. It's an 800lb machine. Now with an FEL hanging 2 feet forward of the front tires you lost lots of...

    1st snow challenge 2024

Case in point. Two neighbors, identical Kabota 3000 series. Both with Loaders (FEL). My South Neighbor moves gravel, compost, etc while my East neighbor is strictly pushing out hay from the barn. Both guys have Great respect for their expensive tool. Having said that, South neighbor has...

    spring time reminder

Their urine will mess things up too. Causes Rust on the coil and flywheel surface. I have had the best luck building small enclosure with a block of poison inside, behind a mouse trap. Much more success then a stand-alone mouse trap. And you get the mouse before he eats the poison.

    Cub Cadet Photobomb

I have an old Pentax and a bunch of lenses. Zoom, star, tinted lenses, etc. Film and photo shops are so far and few between. Camera is sadly dormant in a bag.

    Why won't my tractor run??????

Is it fixed or did you temporarily dry it out enough to run? With it parked for a few days, is the cylinder loaded again? I guess I'm wondering why it was so super flooded to begin with.

    Score!

Back in the day, I took that V6 and put in in my Vega. I should'a never sold it.

    Why won't my tractor run??????

Does the engine try at all with a tiny spritz of Starter Fluid down the Carb? That would, at least, show that it is a fuel issue. Carb: ate you sure the Float and Needle valve are working to shut the flow of fuel? Needle valve can get gummed up and not move.

    Stator magnets

I'm not familiar with this exact application but years ago is glue magnets to make statuses for Air Bearing Spindle motors. I also glued a magnet back into my windshield wiper motor. Neither motor saw much heat. A LOCTITE 2 part epoxy product.
