Mating Driveshaft to none standard engine

Finally finished the install. I created another Thread on it. But see the pics of the issue between engines. Cranks and Flywheels were very different

782 Engine swap, finally had a day to install

Sorry, pictures are in reverse order Old K17 just started pouring oil not rear or front main so i shopped for replacement. The engine ran great other than the leak. See video Cane across an old fire dept, portable pump. B&S 4200 series. I had to get creative to do the Driveshaft interface. The...

    Sprayers and weed control

Yup, in the last bunch of years, i would cheap out on buying tires and just put tubes in tires like walk behind brush hogs, hand trucks, wheel barrows. They dont last two years without slow leakdown. Those small diameter rims are a b****tch to work with.

    Sprayers and weed control

I doubt it absorbs in. The smell, more than the taste deters the deer. The damned rabbits, the still eat anything.

    Sprayers and weed control

Whats the issue? Is the valve clogged or is it clogged at the removeable tip?

    Sprayers and weed control

I got this cheapo one. After about 6 years an O ring dried up. Went to NAPA, went through their o ring box, and for a few pennies, i am up and running. I put roundup through it, insect killer, soap to keep deer off some plants. It keeps chugging away. Many years ago i had a steel one...

IH CC 982 Oil Drain Plug

I have these EZ drain/ Fumuto draina on my large tractor and my daughters Subaru Forrester. I like that the stem on the end alows for a short hose. Some versions have the end on it rather than having to order that stem as an option. I can put the hose into an old 2.5gallon jug and fill it with...

Perkins 2cyl Diesel in 1250 frame

I wouldnt know what the weight difference is between your stock gas dnd the 14hp diesel. I was refering to the Volvo gas 4cyl vs diesel. The diesel mounts are much more stout. Truth is i put the diesel mount on passenger side of my gas volvo because, with the manual transmission, the passenger...

Perkins 2cyl Diesel in 1250 frame

Additional thought: Get the mounts for the Gas engine volvo The Volvo diesel mounts will be so stiff for that light weight engine, it wont help anymore than bolting direct to frame.

Perkins 2cyl Diesel in 1250 frame

If you select to go with motor mounts bug you dont have any specific mount in mind. You may want to look at motor mounts for 1980's 200series Volvo automobiles. They have threaded studs facing up and down with rubber in the middle. Very easy to retrofit on anything.

    782D exhaust pic please

I hung on to the K17 muffler. Its an option. It would take a lot of manipulating to get the two intake ports on the K17 muffler to get to the exhaust on thd new motor in the space provided. Im wondering how much baffling is in the B&S muffler. It would be easy to cap off the current tailpipe ...

    782D exhaust pic please

Interesting. I assumed there was a finished edge. Ok then, if they can do it then i will do it. Thanks!

    782D exhaust pic please

Hi folks. Still putting an Opposed B&S engine in my 782. The exhaust on this engine will not allow me to run the pipe out the front. My option is straight out the side or right angle up. Not a fdn of cutting any of the sheetmetal but, no choice. I have never seen how the sheetmetal was notched...

    CC 127

A great learning tool for the Gdaughter to understand mechanics. I did the same with a 1970 Valiant. Its been retired for about 15 years now but the stories of the work we did and how it became the hit of her High School still come up.
