Cub Cadet 782 trouble.... Send help! LOL

Is the fuel line from fuel pump to gas tank clear? Can you blow back though it?
  2. tkhoffman

    Coil problem?

Fuel tank venting properly? As soon as it dies, unscrew fuel cap and listen for air sucking. Maybe it time running at high RPM more than engine heat. Just tossing out an idea

    1812 just clicks

Sounds like a dirty connection at the 'Big wires'...battery to solenoid and solenoid to starter. When you hear the relay click, are you getting 12v on both large wires on the solenoid. If you arent, the solenoid is bad, if you are then its still possible you have dirty or bad wires to Starter...

    reycling an elec.vehicle..

The Govt is pushing this agenda to the point that , in NY, the Highway Dept is FORCED to by an Electric ,10 wheel dump truck for every 7 diesel. Cost of diesel truck is $250k. Cost of Electric equivalent...$750k. That does not include putting in Charging stations. A fully loaded E Dump truck...

Interesting. The V twin is actuslly wider then the Opposed twin? I was guessing that the would went to V engines to save room. Except Subaru, of course. They still run Opposed cylinder engines

I know you wanted to restore it. Just curious, did the V twin prevent you from putting the hood and sidepanels on? Some Cubs cane with Opposed Twin engines. Did the previous owner have an interface to get the engine to mate with driveshaft? Making it Stock is great. Making a Worker with what...

    reycling an elec.vehicle..

If we really want to save fossil fuels, i say we trade Recycling for longer cycle times. Household appliances: tje appliances of the '70's may not be as electrically efficient BUT many are still running (our old Cubs are an example). It has to be more fossil fuel efficient to run a less...

    reycling an elec.vehicle..

I hear they can build 15 combustion vehicles for the build of 1 EV as far as use of fossil fuels.

Yup. They have no answers to the long term its allll knee-jerk reactions.

Actually, in NY the politicians were trying to Tax cattle ranches for methane gas created by cattle flatulence. How sad is that!? Cattle ranches are dying out and ourvdictators find it profittable for them to tax something new. Tax money, in their pocket, Doesn't make it all better. The EV...

    Cub Cadet 107

Its a crime that the envionmental people forced spray cans that you no longrr can hold upside down, spray, to clean before storing. So now one spends more money and more pollutants to buy carb cleaner or Acetone, to clean the spray can tips. The Rustoleum spray can with the pistol grip, i...

    Snow Removal Advice for 1650

Block heaters? No, no. You have to get that gas Pony engine to start and warm up so you can engage it to crank the diesel over until the cylinders warm up enough to diesel. It was an art.

    Snow Removal Advice for 1650

I think you may want to consider a D9 Bulldozer. 😁 if you get that in more than 8 inches, the plow on these little tractors will struggle. You just cant push heavy heavy stuff with a not-so-heavy tractor. It'll try, it eventually stand still and the tires will spin. When it is travelling...

    Exhaust Issue...Insights?

Id grind off that weld and get the muffler out of the way. See if there is any pipe left in the Block. If there is pipe left, you could use a hacksaw and cut down toward the block. When you start hitting the threads on the block, Stop. That should leave you with a thin enough pipe that you can...

    Snow Removal Advice for 1650

Another thought for the Blade: Google 'PVC pipe on snowblade'. Just like a pipe on the back edge of s snowblower, doing the same with a blade does help keeping thd stones in the driveway. PVC doesnt hold up long. A larger diameter pipe (2") welded on yhr cutting bladd would probably be better...

    Snow Removal Advice for 1650

Question: what tractor do you own that may take a bucket? I have 400' foot driveway, gravel. I use a plow on my 782 for a lot of early snows. With front snd rear chains and 80lbs of weight on the back. That little guy pushes an impressive amount of snow. 14" of cold, not too heavy snow is s...
