Ya, I suppose skip welding would have eventually led to something that looked like gum disease.:errrr:

My first thought was, "Wow that's over welded". I wonder if it has that much weld on the back side of those teeth.

Ad description - Casket lids. These are heavy gauge steel. Would be great for a motorcycle trailer lid or a rat rod trunk lid. Or decorate for Halloween. $100 each

    MOD. 782

I would start with taking the tappit cover off and turning the engine over by hand. I don't know what s.w.a.g. means.

    MOD. 782

"Needs a camshaft" could very well turn into a major overhaul. Only guessing but a minimum of $1000 for a rebuild? Now you have 782 with a minimum of $1400 invested. What are you going to use it for? You may then have to rebuild the deck, if it has one. Are you going to flip it like on TV? As...

    Coolin

My first thought, what does real hot mean? After cutting grass on a hot Summer day I would describe my CC as seeming real hot. If all previous suggestions have been checked and are ok then it may only be normal operating temperature for an air-cooled engine. Without an actual temp from a gauge...

    New Kid on the Block

I painted the chute and most of the inside of the blower and auger with graphite paint, a couple of coats is better with touch ups at the beginning of each season. The best thing was to do the rubber flap mod to the auger. I tried the smaller pulley on the angle drive, and it helped but I...

It needs some road pegs, otherwise you're still pedaling all the time.

    Battery for 149

I have posted this in the past but, I still think the best thing to do for easier starting especially in the Winter, is to install a clutch. I bought a used one on eBay. I highly recommend this, and I have done this with my 149, so I know it works great. You won't need heavier battery cables or...

Hydro Pump Shaft Hole Egged Out

Out of my own curiosity, I did a quick search on eBay. It took about 5 minutes to find just the input shaft. Try looking at one of the sponsor sites first. You may be able to find a shaft reasonably priced. I would only try repairing that shaft as a very last resort. Parts are not that hard to...

    Roof painting tips

Another thing, if the metal is decent shape why "paint the whole thing just because it's leaking around some of the nails? Seems like a lot of extra work for nothing. All you may end up achieving is a coating that may start peeling in a few years or if it's black will make a hot tin roof even...

Walk behind snow blower cab mod for cub

I have never used the plastic wind screen that you described. I tried everything I could think of to keep the snow off me and my face while blowing snow against a wind or even a light breeze. A snowmobile suit and a full-face helmet kept the snow off my face, but the face shield got covered by...

    Roof painting tips

This was my first thought that you should do but you weren't asking for alternate ideas on what to do. I wouldn't use that black roofing crap to "paint the whole roof. I believe you would be sorry in the long run. It may even cause more work later.
