    Funny Ads

You know that ad is funny but it brings up a thought I've had about a trend over the last 40 years. When I was in school my sister and I had sheep as a 4 h project. We sold pure bred breeding stock every year to a lot of small farmers and acreage owners. We let our herd loose every nite around...

    Breaking Insane Tire Bead

After trying to break the bead you know why they charge what they do. Would you fix tires all day long for ANY LESS than what they charge? I have my own tire machine mainly for convenience. I have a buddy or 2 that actually do it on the side and they say the tire machine really doesn't make...

Looking for Cub Cadet carrying attachment

I know the John deere 110 manual showed a grille gaurd that would fold flat to carry small items like your talking. I assume cub would have had something similar at some point.

    129 vs. 2082

    42" mower deck repair on a 1993 Cub 1641

Sounds like you got way too much grease in the spindles for one thing tho there could be other problems as well. Perhaps you over tightned one or both spindles.....

    Knowledge base questions

300 is a smoking deal for a super, running or not and yes imo the ag style tires and the 2nd hyd lever are nice xtras. You could make money on that if you decide not to keep it. At least around here you could.

    Knowledge base questions

I would add I have a 682 and 782 as well as 2 1862's. (Similar to the 782 only with power steering and the plastic bodywork I mentioned above) the power steering tractors are my favorite now but I also have snow blowers on both of them. I see your in a part of the country that probably rarely if...

    Knowledge base questions

1872 is considered one of the super cubs. Longer frame so it will take a 60" deck and individual wheel brakes usually tho I think they were optional. It would have an 18 hp magnum twin cyl opposed kohler, the newer v twin kohlers can be put in them and were in the model series or 2 after the...

    129 vs. 2082

Oh yes by all means get the 129 and get rid of that fuel monster! I don't know why anyone would want them. Bring it to me and will dispose of it for you. 😁👍 Seriously tho 2082 are a pretty good machine with power steering individual wheel brakes ect. Get the 129 if you like and do a comparison...

New Member - Dan Stoner - Cub 102

As already said tightening up the nut will often stop the leak. They are made to do that. If the packing is shot yes loosen the nut and may have to unscrew the valve to push the packing out. There is a shut off, the leaky sediment bowl valve is it. So yes you will have to empty the tank first...

    Tire Trouble

If you can get the bead to seat and blow out to the rim it shouldn't be a problem. Might be able to take a hair drier and heat it gently to relax and flatten out some?

    cub cadet 129 hydrostatic question

Zinc is an anti wear additive. Also used in motor oil to prevent wear on flat tappet cams and lifters among other things. Most oils have reduced or taken it out all together with the use of roller lifters being common place now. That is not good for old muscle car engines tho and can take out a...

    782D hydro pump paint color

Also I think I would prefer to have a fan. It's there for a reason. I understand the frustration of having missing blades for a 3rd or 4th time. Wondering if there was an out of balance or vibration issue.....
