    Score!

I saw 1 at auction a few years back. Don't recall what it brought. I think it was mounted on a cub, not a cub cadet, tho. Guy had a lot of cubs at that sale.

    Cub prices

I dont know, I seems everything around me has come up some post covid. Seems like there is the it's old it must be worth a grand mentality also to some extent. Haven't seen any what I consider really good deals for a while now. Some that are decent deals if that particular model is what you...

    Scored a Cyclops!

Nice score. I personally would rather have the 50c. Or if it has the tall spindle front axle (I can't tell from the pictures but I don't think it does) a 54 would fit as well. Also confirm which Dia clutch it has. Should be the smaller 4 1/2? But I have one that has the bigger clutch on it. 6" I...

    Uneven cuts

Something has to be bent. Possibly the deck shell even tho it doesn't look like it. Some have written about Taking the deck, flipping it over and laying a straight edge across the bottom lip of the deck to measure blade height when deck is suspected of being bent.

    Gardens 2023

So fat it has kept the deer out this summer and last. I run 1 strand as high on the post as I can and 1 as low as I can to discourage rabbits and racoon and 1 in the middle. If that fails me I will have to take more drastic measures. Oh I had 1 or 2 deer in my yard every morning for a while...

    Gardens 2023

That's a lot of taters!!!! You would be suprised how much water you can collect off your roof with as little as a 1/2 inch of rain. I ran a hose down the hill from the rain barrel by the house to the 100 gal tank in the picture. Let it gravity drain and we got a rain that nite that filled the...

Electric lawn tractors and compact tractors

Grass still grows in Chernoble too. Doesn't mean the ground isn't contaminated with toxic chemicals.

Electric lawn tractors and compact tractors

I'm not sold on the hydrogen thing, but there is contamination of the ground from solar panels as they break down. A recent article I read made the claim that wind and solar actually add carbon to the the air as you have to have a back up running all the time to make up for the variation or...

    Ag tires for XT3 GSX

Also my concern for the original poster of thos topic is that his hitch he made appears to stick back quite a bit further than the original hitch for the earlier tractors. He said himself he might have to add weight to the front. This would be because the weight might end up being to far back in...

    Ag tires for XT3 GSX

From what I have read I believe you would see some improvement in traction with the ag tires in a number of situations. Would it be worth it? Well maybe. I do have an 1862 with ag style tires on it. It also has wheel weights and chains as I use it primarily to clear a relatives drive and...

    Anyone else have this problem?

I've never screwed anything up so bad I couldn't throw it away and start over. Or put another way you'll never fix it if you never try. New needle and seat will most likely cure your problem. Careful adjustment of float also. Be careful, take your time. Have a nice clean work area so if you drop...

    50" deck on 1862 issue

If the adjusting nut were maxed out you would have about 2 inches or a bit more of the bolt sticking out the front. That adjusting nut is all the way as loose in the setting range as you can go. Plenty of adjustment left. As for any way to see if it's tight enough.....look at it. Take your hand...

    Selling my 169 and attachments

Um...ok so a half hour reading an owners manual or internet research and a half hour fooling around with the actual parts in your hand still ought to have you mowing. It's not really that complicated and some of your pics show the deck on so it was on and you took it off for some reason?
