    782 Hydro Leak Help

Post a pic of the leak. From your description it sounds like the input shaft seal is leaking.

    1812 oil injected ?

Yeah, fuel pump or needle and seat has gone bad.

    Starter Generator Test

Temporarily ground the "F" terminal on the starter/generator while the engine is running at wide open throttle. This should peg the ammeter to the 'charge' side and result in 14+V across the battery terminals. If not, the field coils of the starter/generator are bad. If that does cause it to...

    1812 oil injected ?

Breather is malfunctioning, excessive blowby, or was overfilled with oil.

Where can you buy American Made tire tubes in our sizes?

I think Firestone tubes are made in Vietnam. Just about everything else is made in China. I can't remember the last time I saw a US-made tire tube.

    Hello from Wisconsin

Welcome! Those are factory headlights, but for one series older of tractor (72, 104, 124, 105, 125). Someone must have added them at some point.

    Overhauling my Cub Cadet 72

The original question was not about the color match. He asked "what brand of paint should I use to repaint it?" I am by no means a paint expert, but I have painted a lot of stuff with varying types and quality levels of paint, from cheap spray cans (I've found Majic and Krylon to be the worst)...

    Overhauling my Cub Cadet 72

Most likely not...the farm store "Cub Cadet Yellow", or at least the ones I have seen, is the shade of yellow they used from the 1990's through present day that has a bit of an orange cast to it. Looks awful on the older machines. Never mind that Majic brand paint is also about as low quality as...

Just stating a fact. If you want to take that personally, that's your problem.

Gas not getting to carb of rtz 50

Not physically possible. The float bowl is vented, which would equalize any pressure, and the needle is above the fuel level in the bowl. Long crank before start after sitting is because the gas in the float bowl evaporated out the bowl vent over a period of time.

    S/G thread

That is not a common hardware item...this is basically specific to Delco generators and nothing else. One isn't going to walk into a hardware store and find one.

1862 cyclops engine or rear end

M18 is a good engine, and never came from the factory in an IH Cub Cadet. Only in the MTD-built units. Kohler made the engine, which has nothing to do with the manufacturer of the tractor...

Gas not getting to carb of rtz 50

That vacuum hose doesn't look like its seated properly in the valve cover, and it almost looks kinked as well. Hard to tell because the pic is blurry.

    S/G thread

That is a goofy non-standard thread. Google Delco Generator Nut to find a new one.
  16. mgonitzke

    S/G thread

Thread for what? The bolts that attach it to the tractor? The pulley nut? The terminal nuts? Gonna have to be a lot more specific than that.

    1250 Hydrostatic won't move

    Lots of info here: http://www.cubfaq.com/questions.html

    1250 Hydrostatic won't move

Trans filter is plugged, low fluid, release valves stuck internally, or stuck in release position if it is an earlier on with the release lever on the right side of the frame cover.

Starting to feel guilty. Engine swap

For what it's worth...My 682, 782, and 1872 all have had their engines replaced with something newer.

    1811 refurbish

Make sure to get a replacement LH head cover if it didn't come with one. The engine will not cool properly without it.
