    Belt size needed.

That is a 48" deck, which was the largest deck offered for this tractor.

    Belt size needed.

That is a 48" deck, which uses a considerably shorter PTO belt. Part number is in the link in Harry's first reply.

    Cub Cadet 125 Demonstrator??

Can't remember who posted the info, but IIRC they are the same shade of yellow, but one had a corrosion inhibitor.

    Cub Cadet 125 Demonstrator??

3 shades of white during IH production, and one shade of yellow. If you get Irongard white from an IH dealer, it will be the 935 white that was used last. If you want the other colors, you will have to have auto paint tinted with the numbers here: http://cubfaq.com/paint.html

    Cub Cadet 125 Demonstrator??

No such thing as a demonstrator for these. That tractor has been at least partially repainted- the hood decals are on backwards. The hood, fiberglass dash, and front wheels are white. The rest of the tractor itself is yellow.

    782 Restore paint

Original, unfaded paint might be darker than you think. Let's play 'what is original and what is Rustoleum Almond?' :)

    782 Restore paint

Rust-Oleum Almond is very close to the original white color used at that time. IMO, no sense in using any "better" paint than that on a mower deck on a working tractor, as it is just going to get scratched and scuffed anyway.

    Mower Deck

Correct, as indicated by the "50" in 501U111.

    Newly Acquired 149: Modified Deck

The 48" deck should have spindles with tapered roller bearings, or at least the earlier ones did. 44/50" decks had the "water pump" style bearings until MTD developed the aluminum housing spindles, which use the same tapered roller bearings as the earlier spindles. Post a pic of the portion of...

    Mower Deck

That is the earliest version of the 50A and would have come on the late 1x8/9 tractors.

Good Source for K241 Engine Parts

I would not just blindly reuse the mains. If they don't have play and turn smoothly, they can be reused. If they feel rough or loose, they need to be replaced. I have found worn bearings in these before.

Hello from Kern River Valley, Ca

Warranty isn't going to cover damage from vandalism/attempted theft. Blown fuse means there is a short somewhere. Look for a pinched wire or a portion of the harness out of place. Do NOT install larger fuses...that just turns the wire into the fuse.

1210 Hydro Re-fill, tricks or tips?

Unscrew the dipstick tube from the rear. Then you can use a funnel or 5 gallon pail pump to get it in there pretty quickly.

    Voltage Regulator

Got a link? I went through many pages in a search, found one NOS one (not that one, the pics were different) and all of the rest were varying brands of aftermarket.

    Voltage Regulator

Not even remotely close to the same thing. I posted the Delco number...there are all kinds of aftermarket units available that match the specs of the original one, one of which Charlie posted above.

    122 Trans question

I can confirm brake cleaner and carb cleaner will both soften that coating.
  18. mgonitzke

    Voltage Regulator

I think I found the one you are talking about. It says "USA MADE QUALITY" not "MADE IN USA". Delco has not made these voltage regulators for decades. All you will find is aftermarket. No one in the US makes these anymore. The original Delco part number is 1118988.

    122 Trans question

I would pull the rear cover and clean everything up good before you put new fluid in. There will be a lot of goopy stuff in there that did not drain out that needs to be cleaned out.

1962 Cub Cadet Driveshaft Bearing Size

Same advice for that one, it is a standard ball bearing with a spherical outer race. Measure ID, OD and width, or take to a bearing supplier.
