    Parts For Sale Rear Tires

They look good considering the price point. As with many of the Chyna produced tires, they might run on the small side, and they may dry rot sooner than what you are used to. They do rate quite high all things considered. I have used Deestones and only complaint is that they run on the small side.

    My fleet

Some of the 18xx are not Cyclops, such as the 1806, 1810, 1811, 1812. These would be 82 series, made from 1979-1989.

Short answer, I just like them. No business here. I buy them with no intention of resale.

    50" deck on 1862 issue

Short answer is no. If the belt is slipping, then it is worn/stretched and requires replacement, The gauge notches in the lever is a good system and prevents overtightening, and also sloppy belts. I have seen where the mule drive spring has lost tension or broken altogether. Also had one where...

Yeah, they are a shaft/belt hybrid. They are shaft driven from the clutch to a 90 degree gearbox, the a belt drives the Peerless transaxle.

I've been tempted to find a 482 and rid it of the awful 11HP Briggs, and replace it with a single cylinder Command.

    Motor oil

5W30 will not have as much zinc in it as compared to SAE30, which on these engines is not a huge concern since the valve spring pressures are fairly low. Stick with the straight 30 for temps above 32 F. The adage that some oil, even if it's not the right oil, is better than no oil. A side note...

    782D journey

I finished up the upper hose with an authentic replacement insulation purchased in a 6' length from Home Despot. Fortunately, it was just over $10. The insulation was cut to mimic pics of original unrestored tractors. The ends have adhesive to seal it up. I glued this to the hose using 3M black...
