I am looking for an electric lift for a wide front Cub Cadet Model 120 for a snowblower on the front. My Dad is unable to manually lift it anymore due to arthritis.

My right arm is disabled, so I used a 12 volt lienar motor off of E-Bay on my Cub Cadet 108 and mounted a double pole double throw momentary swich. mounted it to the lift arm in the up position and made a lift linkage out of flat steel stock, also rigged a gear motor to the chute rotation

Do you have a pic of the Lift arm motor setup? Interesting.
DGLEN might look at a typical plow setup on UTVs for an idea for the Blower. They use a small electric winch.

The linear motor looks like a regular hydrloic cylinder except for the motor on one end, it has holes on both ends, bolted the motor end to the lift arm where i removed the lift rod,the linear motors come in varios lenghts & touqe power

I get it. Sounds like an easy modification. I didnt even think of that linear motor setup. Nice
how many pounds was the motor you bought, rated for? How slow is it?

I bought a 127 awhile back that had used a hyd boat motor lift to raise and lower a blade.prev o. had it set up in back,it was 12v and self contained. He used the cyl from the boat, easy hookup but expensive to buy new. Many convertibles used a similar self contained unit, again expensive. I did an elec on one for deck raising. It worked fine but a tad slow..Good torque doesn't mean speed. You only need a unit about 8" long but heavy torque..Very available on net.
