Picked this up from my neighbor. He bought it new. Serial number 2050048U529036, Engine number 6342520. I think it's all original. I have no idea how long it has been sitting in his barn. It needs a few parts, the I'll see if it runs. I do have a question. Why doesn't mine have the bar between the headlights??

Looks like the hood nosepiece got replaced with one from the next series of Cub Cadet, as those didn't have the vertical part separating the headlights.

Nope. The 16 HP shakes enough it probably cracked it, or the hinge bolts came loose and got worn, etc.

perhaps the previous owner liked to pluck between the brows? 😉

That one would have been a late October 1974 build, indeed a late build
Last one in that series was #526811
Doesn't the number #529036 come after #526811? Like 2225 units? Or am I missing something?

I stand corrected!!I really gotta get new glasses!!
Sorry bout that!

There were 4,005 169's built according to the numbers I have always seen published.
