Looking to buy my first cub cadet I have a local man that has a few for sale I am going to look at wanting gear driven hopefully with creeper gear. Wanting a mowing deck, snow plow and maybe a tiller

Large, If I may be so bold as to suggest..pay attention to details.If it doesn't run don't believe "it ran when parked" engine might be gone...serious rusty hoods are hell to make them look good and shiny,some rusted parts need to be replaced.I've got a 128 that I still mow with often ,love that old look and it does super job..Many parts are still available thru our sponsors at the top of the page.Make a decision about where you want to end up with looks and condition,Seems most have been worked on by backyard wrenches that are not concerned about originality..broken bolts and welds are clues to history of care..by all means find one and enjoy..

A Hydrostatic (really a hydraulic) trans will creep as slow as you want it to btw, so you might want to consider one of those, as well.

Thanks for the advice I have a 1024lt cub mower it does good but have always liked the older mowers hoping to look at a 124 this weekend. When i was young I use a early 1960's sears gear driven mower was very dependable
