Cub 125 42" Mower Deck Spindle

Good morning, all! I am somewhat confused with placement of the spindle oil seals in housing on my 42" deck. Diagrams show the open face of seals facing outward. My little pea brain tells me to place the seal open face inward. Thank you, Rick B.

    Narrow Frame vs. Wide Frame

Good morning, I have never stumbled across a service manual for any mower deck... other than in an operator's manual. Installed like you say would allow the grease to escape from underside of deck and not between deck and spindle pulley. Do you know where I can get my grubby little paws on one...

    Narrow Frame vs. Wide Frame

On a salvaged 42 1 U 1113 mower deck I found the spindle oil seals to be installed backwards(?). The open face of seals are facing outwards (away from bearings). I thought all oil/grease seals have flat side out. Any info will be greatly appreciated, thank you, Rick B.

    Narrow Frame vs. Wide Frame

What was the year and model numbers of the last narrow frame Cub Cadets, and first numbers/year of the wide frame Cub Cadets? Thank you.
