    104 weight

That weight probably does not include any attachment at all. Mule drive deck etc

1450 engine securing/mounting bolts fell out

If memory serves, the “flat” pan can be used but the dipper tang on the end of the connecting rod has to be shortened. & of course the sump will hold less oil. Personally I would want the deep sump pan.

    Won't start

Rarely happens but you could have a valve stuck open.

Question for the Narrow Frame Experts

I made a post earlier about replacing the main pin & welding up holes & re-drilling. I in fact done the same as you, installed a sleeve & a grease fitting.

run time on full charge battery

At one time I had charging problems due to a bad wiring harness. I had a new 300A battery. Takes about 1 1/2 hours to mow my property. A fully charged battery would start & now 3 times before I had to re-charge the battery. It maybe would have gone longer. I just didn’t want to get caught on...

Question for the Narrow Frame Experts

My 106 developed belt jumping & it all boiled down to a worn mule drive. I had to replace the main 1/2” cross pin that the pulley brackets anchor/hinge on. Also had to weld up the holes in the idler pulley brackets & re-drill to fit new hinge pin.

    122 Trans question

Almost anything in the solvent world is flammable. Be careful of that. Brake cleaner would probably work well if you don’t want to deal with a garden sprayer

Cub Cadet 122 Spindles, repair or replace

I have found them on eBay for a decent price before, but they always need taken apart, inspected, cleaned. Be sure to read the manual on the repair process. The center spacer is shim to set endplay on the (2) tapered bearings.

Cub Cadet 122 Spindles, repair or replace

My 106 has those same spindles. They come apart by removing bolt with grease fitting. The pulley then lifts off & the spindle pushes out through the bottom. There is spacers/seal races on top & bottom. 2 tapered bearings & a shim-spacer between the bearings

    782 front subframe wear?

Just a thought on welding them up. Might consider using hard facing rods that are used for anti wearing loader bucket surfaces. Then hand grind to fit. I have used it for repairing a broken gear tooth or teeth.

147 Cub Cadet how Do I find out what PTO rebuild kit is correct?

I did face the friction surfaces on the lathe & used 80 grit Emory cloth to crosshatch the surfaces. I also purchased new bolts, triangle spring, 3 coil springs & a new button from CCS.

147 Cub Cadet how Do I find out what PTO rebuild kit is correct?

I recently went through all the correct steps to rebuild one of these PTO clutches….. EXCEPT for genuine CC friction material… the off brand stuff “EBay” is a crap shoot & you will most likely get burned in the long run. My FleaBay friction material held up for 2 months. Slippage became worse...

    Red Sticky grease

I’m sure the Red n Tacky from Lucas is good grease. For my area most local auto parts stores have it priced in the $10.00 range. I usually buy a carton of grease about every 3-4 months. I most always just buy Lithium based grease at $3.29.
